A Few Words About

Our Club

Establishment History

  • After a combined meeting with the Education Department, Forestry Department, State Museum, Sabah PArks, Ministry of Tourism and Environment, and SEPA in 1985, the idea for the Sabah Nature Club was born.
  • The then-president of WWF Malaysia, Tan Sri Dato ‘Khir Johari, recognised as one of the well-known clubs doing conservation initiatives and environmental awareness programmes in Sabah.
  • SNC was inaugurated and introduced by the Chief Minister of Sabah on October 7, 1988, as the first co-curricular education scheme in Sabah and throughout Malaysia.

SNC operated under the Conservation & Environmental Management Division (C&EMD) Yayasan Sabah Group.
